Matt never puts the toilet seat down and I inevitably end up falling into the toilet when he doesn’t. As if it’s not bad enough that he doesn’t put it down in his house but he doesn’t even when we’re in mine. I grew up in a household of four women and one guy and cannot, for the life of me, remember to make sure the seat is down when I have to use the bathroom. Is this one request so unreasonable? None of my girlfriends have this issue with their significant other.

It’s just as easy for me to put it down as it is for her to put it up. I already put up with some other house rules (using skim milk instead of 2%, eating a mostly vegetarian diet, drinking wine etc). I can’t remember for the life of me to put down the toilet seat and it’s just really irritating every time she yells at me about it. I know my dad never puts down the seat at home and my mom's fine with that. This should just be Rosa's one give in our relationship.
